MuffJam rides on, Lionbeat still rocking... |

So you'll have noticed the lack of regular News (to say the least) on this site for some time. Well, truth is, we've kind of moved on from the MuffJam banner, and we're working on other music project; primarily DJ drvien at the moment.
We have a centralised mailing list for all our projects, so you can join it through any site; and we recommend that you do. We have a monthly session @ Market Place W1, called BROTHERS&SISTERS - first Friday of every month. We rock out the hip hop and reggae, and all the old MuffJam DJs are resident, together with some new blood.
We're also working behind the scenes on a night called SHUBEEN, which you can get a small taster of at Shubeen.com, so check it out. We're working on PR for the night, and we'll be back with it soon, summer 2007.
We're also still working with our official partners: CONGO NATTY music, SAXON SOUNDS, KING TUBBYS, SILVERSTAR, TIPPA IRIE, THE MAD PROFESSOR. We're also looking into setting up a regular dub and dub step session for the Mad Professor and his Ariwa record label stable.

Yes, I know. It's a disgrace. Shubeen.com ain't even live, and MuffJam.com ain't been updated for time. Well, we've got an official launch date for the Shubeen site, and to coincide with that glorious opening, we've got the Mad Professor mixing dubs on the boards, not the decks, LIVE.
The date is the 4th NOvember and believe, it's gonna be BIG! Westwood bomb dropping style, though without the insincere exuberance. This is for real. We'll have an exclusive, near 3 hour long mix, from the Mad Professor on the audio player for starters, and all consequent gigs will go up on there the day after happening.
So get the date in your diary. Come check the Mad Professor for just £8 on the 4th November. And keep an eye on the www.Shubeen.com site for launch. News about MuffJam coming real soon too... we need to get some mroe fully live music going again... but where?

Residents LIONBEAT and SHEDMAN with special guests STEP ONE 20.00 – 01.00 @ Market Place, W1
OK, here it comes again, the Brothers&Sisters party to rub a dub and rise your Friday night into a special place we call vibes central. We've got our resident blend of reggae and hip hop (they're brother and sister, you know) as well as some funk from the trunk and generally inspirational music to fuel conversation or start a serious dance floor movement.
Tonight we have special guests STEP : ONE in the house, with selector Rompa on the decks, with some serious styles of goodness fi all the gal and the man dem. Hip hop, funk and a dash of reggae and soul. It's gonna nice, so get down there straight from work. SHEDMAN will be in the house early doors anyway, and the full crew kick off round 8 o'clock.
One final thing; thanks to all the crew who made it down to the SHUBEEN with TIPPA IRIE last Saturday. The night started nice and we're gonna keep building it up. The place has pure vibes and the crowd were really feeling the mix of live performers and DJs. Next up, we have KING TUBBY's with SILVERSTAR (BBC 1Xtra), so it's gonna get hot in there on the 7th October!
